NACC Attends the 41st ACTWG Meeting and the 1st AHDAC Meeting in Incheon, Republic of Korea.
From 30 July to 1 August 2025, the delegation of the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), led by Mr. Eakawit Wajjwalku, NACC Commissioner, along with the Director of the Bureau of International Affairs and Corruption Investigation and relevant officials, participated in the 41st Anti-Corruption and Transparency Experts’ Working Group (ACTWG) Meeting and the 1st APEC High-Level Dialogue on Anti-Corruption Cooperation (AHDAC) held in Incheon, Republic of Korea.
The ACTWG meeting aimed to promote cooperation and set standards in anti-corruption efforts within the Asia-Pacific region. Economic members and international organizations exchanged experiences, reported progress on the implementation of the APEC framework, the UNCAC Convention, and the Beijing Declaration, as well as discussed China’s preparations for hosting APEC in 2026. The meeting emphasized the importance of international cooperation, addressing the impact of artificial intelligence, combating transnational corruption, and strengthening anti-corruption mechanisms in both the public and private sectors.
On this occasion, the NACC delegation reported on Thailand’s international cooperation, such as the signing of an MoU with Mongolia’s anti-corruption agency, discussions with Swedish public sector and audit institutions, and co-organizing an exhibition with the Office of the Attorney General at the 34th session of the CCPCJ in Vienna, to showcase Thailand’s progress in investigation and the use of technology in the justice process.
The AHDAC meeting aimed to foster anti-corruption collaboration through the exchange of best practices among high-level representatives from the public sector, private sector, civil society, and international organizations. The event featured panel discussions on three main themes: cross-border cooperation, private sector engagement, and education/training for anti-corruption.
