The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission has conducted an anti-corruption training program for senior executives, aimed at building role models for ethical conduct, morality, and integrity.
The program "High-Level Anti-Corruption Strategy Executives” is arranged each year, and the participants include senior executives from government agencies, the private sector, state enterprises, and civil society organizations.
This year the program, the 11th of its kind, is being held from 15 January to 4 September, with 85 participants. They will be provided with a better understanding about impacts from corruption and will be equipped with the knowledge and the ability to layout measures to deal with corrupt practices in their organizations.
Moreover, the program is intended to encourage executives from various organizations to work together in an integrated manner in the anti-corruption drive, under the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, 2017-2021.
Speaking to the participants in the program, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam explained the Government’s anti-corruption policy and the National Anti-Corruption Reform Plan.
He said that, in tackling the corruption problem in the public sector, the Government has improved related laws and monitoring mechanisms. It has also raised the public’s awareness about this problem, as well as strengthening their intolerance to corrupt practices in society.
The Government has a firm intention to fight corruption. There is a need to cultivate the values of ethics, morality, and integrity among the executives of various organizations and the general public.
