Mr. Niwatchai Gasemmongkol, Secretary-General of the NACC, as spokesman for the Office of The National Anti - Corruption Commission (ONACC), reveals the Thailand Corruption Perception Index (CPI) on January 30th, 2024, at 1:01 PM local time. Transparency International (TI) has published the Thailand CPI assessment among 180 countries. The world's top performer was Denmark, which scored 90 points, followed by Finland, which scored 87 points, and New Zealand, which scored 85 points, respectively. Thailand scored 35 points, ranked 108 out of 180 countries, and ranked 4th among ASEAN countries. The top performer was Singapore, which was ranked 5th globally with 83 points.
In 2023, Thailand’s CPI assessment was based on information from nine sources. Thailand scored more points from PERC, from 35 to 37 compared to last year. Three sources contribute to the decline: BF (TI) falls from 37 to 33 points, WJP falls from 34 to 33 points, and WEF falls from 45 to 36 points. There are five sources with the same score: EIU, GI, IMD, PRS and V-DEM. The 2023 CPI’s scores are available at Transparency International website. (www.transparency.org)

The CPI was conducted by Transparency International (TI), which headquarter is located in Berlin, Germany.
