NACC Songkhla Office inspects pipeline expansion project in Khlong U Tapao
The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission of Songkhla Province (NACC Songkhla Office) conducted a site visit to monitor the water distribution pipeline expansion project in Khlong U Tapao Subdistrict with a budget of 27,150,000 baht.
On January 20, 2026, Mr. Ram Wasuthanapinyo, Director of the NACC Songkhla Provincial Office, along with Mr. Purimprat Chanhom, head of the corruption prevention unit, and other officials, inspected the water distribution pipeline expansion project in Khlong U Tapao Subdistrict, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.
This site visit was part of the NACC's monitoring measures regarding the tracking, surveillance, and observation of project implementation under the national economic development plan. The pipeline expansion project was undertaken with a contract budget of 27,150,000 baht, with the Provincial Waterworks Authority Region 5 as the responsible agency and Boonchob Karnprapa Limited Partnership as the contractor from September 26, 2025 to May 23, 2026
The NACC Songkhla Office found that the construction progress is currently at 18 percent, compared to the scheduled 29 percent, due to the impact of the Hat Yai floods in November last year.
The NACC has provided recommendations for expediting the contractor's work and resuming construction as soon as possible to prevent further losses for the government.
The NACC will continue to monitor and observe the project's implementation under the economic development plan to ensure the most effective use of government funds for the people.
