NACC Yasothon follows up on repairs of abandoned water pumping stations
The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission’s Yasothon Provincial Office (NACC Yasothon Office), together with the STRONG Club, are monitoring a project to repair two abandoned electric pumping stations, with a total repair budget of 5 million baht.
On March 31, 2026, Mr. Prakob Mangkang, Director of the NACC Yasothon Office, presided over the opening of the second Watch and Voice activity, with participation of members of the STRONG Club of Yasothon Province, along with officials from the NACC Yasothon Office and officials from the Yasothon Irrigation Project who presented information on the pumping station repairs at a meeting room in Maha Chana Chai District, Yasothon Province.
This activity is to monitor the progress of the project to repair the previously abandoned electric pumping stations in Maha Chana Chai district, namely the Ban Po Daeng electric pumping station in Bak Ruea Subdistrict and the Ban Ratchamuni electric pumping station in Non Sai Subdistrict, under the Yasothon Irrigation Project.
The NACC Yasothon Office and the STRONG Club previously jointly investigated and pushed for repairs since the Watch and Voice activity in March 2024.
At that time, the Yasothon Irrigation Project participated in surveying the damage to the abandoned pumping stations and submitted a budget request to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives for the repair of 15 abandoned pumping stations throughout the province. Approval was given for the repair of 12 stations. The Ban Po Daeng and the Ban Ratchamuni electric pumping stations each received a repair budget of 2.5 million baht, totaling 5 million baht.
The repairs are approximately 85% complete and are scheduled to be finished by April 2026. After that, the Yasothon Irrigation Project will proceed with handing over the repairs to the local administrative organisations in each area, and the NACC Yasothon Office will monitor the progress of the repair and handover projects until completion.
