The Office of National Anti-Corruption Commission's Samut Prakan Provincial Office (NACC Samut Prakan Office) conducted a site visit to monitor the public drainage cleaning at the Phraeksa Mai Municipality.
On June 24, 2026, Mr. Sukrit Tiangkaew, Director of NACC Samut Prakan Office, and the corruption prevention unit visited the site to monitor and observe the public drainage cleaning in the Phraeksa Mai Municipality, Samut Prakan Province.
The municipality contracted out the drainage cleaning using a specific procurement method in accordance with the Ministerial Regulation on Procurement of Goods and Methods. The contract was given to the Department of Corrections (Samut Prakan Central Prison) to use inmates to clean a total of 44,394 meters of drainage pipes, with a budget of 2,500,000 baht.
This project is to prevent blockages in the drainage pipes from rocks, soil, sand, and garbage accumulating inside the pipes, and to ensure that drainage can resolve the problem of flooding for the public in the future.
The NACC Samut Prakan director provided suggestions for the operation and informed the municipality of the monitoring measures for the cleaning in order to prevent potential corruption in project implementation, in accordance with anti-corruption measures in Samut Prakan Province.
The purpose of this site visit is to ensure that budget spending is efficient and maximizes benefits in accordance with project objectives.
