NACC President Pol.Gen.Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit said at the recent meeting between the NACC and the BMA that the NACC paid special attention to Bangkok and established a subcommittee consisting of representatives of various sectors to combat corruption in the city. Such synergized effort would help turn the city into a modern metropolis free from all forms of corruption, he said.
The subcommittee, chaired by the NACC President, helps various sectors take part in the prevention and suppression of corruption in Bangkok. Other members of the subcommittee include representatives of the BMA, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Interior, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the Federation of the Thai Industries.
Apart from the NACC President, the meeting was attended by NACC Secretary-General Niwatchai Kasemmongkol, Executive Adviser to the NACC President Assoc.Prof.Dr.Manee Chaiteeranuwatsiri, NACC Assistant Secretaries-General Sornchai Choowichean and Kaewta Chaimano, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, and Deputy Permanent Secretary of the BMA Chalermpol Chotinuchit.
