NACC Ayutthaya Office inspects road in Phra Kaeo, finds sinking sections

The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission’s Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Office (NACC Ayutthaya Office) conducted an on-site inspection of the asphalt concrete road construction project of the Phra Kaeo Subdistrict Administrative Organisation and found that some sections of the road had subsided.

On January 26, 2026, Mr. Prinya Wikulsirirat, Director of the NACC Ayutthaya Office, assigned the corruption prevention unit to visit the site and gather more information regarding the construction of an asphalt concrete road in Moo 5, Phra Kaeo Subdistrict, which connects to Nong Pling Subdistrict, Nakhon Luang District, in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.

This project was undertaken to alleviate the trouble of the people in the area, aiming to provide a convenient and safe transportation route and help farmers transport their agricultural produce more efficiently. This project was allocated a special grant budget for the year 2025 totaling 1,255,000 baht, with the contract price set at 911,000 baht.

Technical specifications of the construction work include a road width of 3.00 meters, a length of 880 meters, a thickness of 0.05 meters, and a project area is no less than 2,640 square meters. The project must be completed within 60 days from the date of signing the contract. There is a warranty against defects for a period of no less than two years.

During a site visit, the NACC Ayutthaya Office found that some sections of the road had indeed subsided. The Phra Kaeo Subdistrict Administrative Organisation explained that it was caused by farmers' vehicles traveling on this road after the road was completed on June 12, 2025. The Phra Kaeo Subdistrict Administrative Organization will notify the contractor to carry out repairs, as it is still within the two-year warranty period.

The NACC then instructed the Phra Kaeo Subdistrict Administrative Organization to clarify the situation through its Facebook page so that the public are informed of the facts and future actions to resolve the issue.
