NACC inspects Khao Kheow Open Zoo
The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission’s Chonburi Provincial Office (NACC Chonburi Office) conducted a site visit to monitor the construction and renovation of restrooms for tourists at Khao Kheow Open Zoo.
On March 24, 2026, Mr. Suksan Prasarae, Director of the NACC Chonburi Office, assigned officials to monitor the progress of the construction and renovation project of restrooms for tourists at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Bang Phra Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province.
The project is under the economic development plan of 157,000 million baht of the 2025 fiscal year budget, for stimulating the economy and strengthening the economic system.
Initial investigations revealed that the documentation process followed the relevant procurement regulations, such as disclosure of information through the e-GP system, selection of products from the Thai innovation list, and opportunities for public participation through comments and complaints.
The project used a total budget of 5,360,000 baht to construct and renovate 7 restrooms. The NACC officials found that the restrooms were functioning normally, but some sinks had damaged faucets. The relevant agency had already requested for repair and it still within the warranty period.
The NACC Chonburi Office will continue to monitor and oversee the implementation of government projects to ensure that budget spending is cost-effective, transparent, and provides maximum benefit to the public.
