NACC Region 2 meets with public and private sector agencies to follow up on anti-bribery efforts

The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission of Region 2 (NACC Regional Office 2), is monitoring the progress in addressing bribery issues under the Together Against Bribery (TaB) project.

On March 30, 2026, Police Major General Arun Amornviriyakul, Deputy Secretary-General of the NACC Regional Office 2, along with the Region 2 anti-corruption coordination group, held a meeting to monitor the progress in addressing bribery issues under the Together Against Bribery project of the NACC Region 2 for the fiscal year 2026.

The meeting took place at the Saensabai Meeting Room, Bangsaen Heritage Hotel, Mueang Chonburi District, Chonburi Province, and attended by government officials involved in approving and licensing industrial factory operations, as well as private sector representatives such as the Federation of Thai Industries, the Chamber of Commerce, and representatives from Amata Corporation Public Company Limited, to integrate efforts in monitoring, preventing, and resolving the issue of giving and receiving bribes.

During the meeting, government and private sector agencies provided similar suggestions for preventing and suppressing bribery, namely, stricter law enforcement and the implementation of an online system for approval and licensing, in order to reduce the discretion of government officials, streamline procedures and speed up the process and decreasing bribery, which will lead to an improvement in Thailand's CPI score.

The NACC Regional Office 2 will use the results of this meeting to take further action in related areas to achieve concrete solutions to the problem of giving and receiving bribes.
